Lol I forgot my singpass password.
Have too many accounts that I can't remember my passwords.
If I wrote them down somewhere, wouldn't it defeat the purpose of having passwords in the first place?? Lol. This issue on online security was discussed before in my e-business module that I took last year.
Anyway, suddenly reminded of this particular conversation that took place few months ago:-
Friend: How often do you call your clients/prospects?
Me: Depends on them; mostly follow-up for 3 to 6 months.
Friend: Wa, I have to call my xxx (forgot what word she used) everyday.
Me: -in my heart thinking 'Would anyone want a financial consultant to call them everyday? LOL'-
Honestly, I don't mind calling everyday. It's something that won't kill me. But I think my prospects/clients would be annoyed. LOL.
That came from someone who studied in NUS.
/Cuesfacepalm
Anyway, her job is a social worker, so obviously, the context for her job scope is already different.

So I closed my eyes just now at the back of my manager's car (to rest), and this thought came across me:
If I were to meet with a car accident and got into a coma, would anyone know?
Would anyone care enough? Would my clients or prospects care?
Cause if I got into a coma, it is unlikely I would be able to contact people to tell them about it. Lol.
Hospital bills I'm not worried I'd burden my family since I'm fully covered, haha.
This thought did come to me. The thought about bills. Surprisingly?? LOL.
Yes A Day
Yesterday was a super full-packed and full-stomach day?? Haha.
Temple > meetup with secondary school clique > birthday bbq
So, in the morning I went out with my parents to the temple at near Eunos.
Then we went to Bugis, bc my mom wanted to buy stuff there.
Accompanied my parents to eat lunch, and ate a bit of food there.
From there I went to Veggie King @ Tanjong Pagar.
Had lunch buffet. Reached there at about 1.30pm, and ate till 3.30pm?? LOL.
Went to Suntec and Vivocity afterwards, to settle my friend's phones' stuff.
Then went to downtown D'resort for my friend's birthday bbq!
I think I can call yesterday a Travel-around-SG day too. LOL.
I reached White Sands first and bought my favorite Dorayaki.
Then waited for my friend, and then we went to collect the cake from Four Leaves and then we went to the resort.
Turns out Coco Exotic of Four Leaves is quite famous?? Lolol.
My friend said I could have collected earlier too. Then I realized I've never collected a cake before. LOL.
Usually we would call for delivery, or just buy the cake and go.
So I had no idea how to collect cake, lolol.
Reached the resort about 7+pm?
Walked anyhow and managed to get there.
Then started eating again. Lolol.
Had enoki mushroom, broccoli and corn!
So unique. Never bbq-ed enoki mushroom and broccoli before?? Haha.
Quite nice.
Also ate marshmallow and potato afterwards.
Played some drinking game for a while before we played another game.
Played till 4+am? I reached home at close to 5am.
Btw, the game is super fun. Kept laughing too. Cannot remember what's the name of the game.
Had Civilians, Undercover and Mr White.
A little similar to Saboteur.
First time I had Mr White I surrendered LOLOL.
Managed to win one round as Undercover. HAHAAAHHAHA.
Laughed so much yesterday because of this game!!
Overall, a very fun day. Full of food for my stomach too. Lolol.
独善其身
A few more days to my 24th birthday; a few more days to the day I'm contracted as a financial consultant for 2 years.
I'm not eloquent with words. I'm not very responsive upon impromptu questions either.
Sometimes, I wish I'm able to react immediately?
The reason I'm still here, and not jumped to other companies/banks is that I feel the values taught over here resonates with me. If I'd joined any other manager, I doubt I'd still have stayed?
My outlook towards this career would have been completely different.
Before joining the industry, I'd only thought of giving financial advise; now, I'm also thinking of the long-term welfare of my clients.
Some people told me to jump from bank to bank for career advancement. But this is not what I want to do. People from bank are not able to do claims, as they are not representatives of the insurance companies. After hearing such things, the more I don't want to do this? Lol. Like it feels like I'm just going to sell one thing and be gone from their lives.
Meeting people is part of the job. Nice ones and not so nice ones I've met them too.
Sometimes, I feel that the things I do don't get appreciated.
Like, actually, certain things will affect our persistency. Like cancelling an old plan and getting a new one. (Even though the new one is more beneficial.) Once your persistency reaches a certain percent, you'd have to go to an interview to answer them, lol.
MAS has strict rules in the finance industry. So this is why certain things are done in certain ways.
But I don't understand why and how certain people still sell things in certain ways. LOL.
What I love about this job is still the same. I honestly love going for appointments.
One friend told me what I shared with her made her think of things she'd never thought of before.
Another friend calls me her financial consultant, to help her grow more money, HAHAHA.
Hope I'd be able to meet more nice people, who appreciates me and what I do!! #zen
It's August Already
Today is one of the most tiring day this year? Haha.
Woke up at 5.54am today and went to Pulau Ubin for our amazing race.
It's a cycling event. So me not knowing how to cycle, rode on a double bike. Was pretty scared the first 3 times. But got used to it!!
To anyone who thinks double bikes are romantic, please don't do it. LOL. It tires your thigh. And basically your entire being, lolol. Not romantic at all.
Clues were pretty difficult.
Oh ya, before I continue, I'd just like to mention that today is also the first time I'd ever experienced a bus breakdown.
#whatluck
Got on the bus at 7.05am. Expected to reach my destination in maybe 15 minutes. Bus ended up breaking down. Aunty called us to leave the bus, and gave us all a complimentary ticket each.
Kind of ended up late at my friend's place. Sobs.
But yup. The race ended peacefully, and my legion did not win. #sob
Got caught in the rain, downpour was sudden. Keep sneezing after that.
Had lunch @ this place. Cut our SP's birthday cake, since it's our birthday!
Cake was pretty nice?? Took home some too, LOL.
Went home, and rested for a while before going out to NTU. Felt much cleaner after a bath.
Went to get food first, HAHA. Then after finishing the food, we went to queue to take photographs at the official ntu booth I think??
In summary, I'm still sneezing now. Am going to see a doctor tomorrow, with my aching thighs, lolol.

Today was unexpectedly a fun day???
Didn't exactly expect to have fun with this group.
But I guessed helping friends to swipe their tinder is fun?? LOLOL.
But that's the only thing that's fun though.
And using people's accounts to swipe is more fun? HAHA.
Think I stopped when a friend say she wanted to use my phone to create a tinder account. Lolol.
Pasta is unexpectedly good too?? Yayy.
感受风的温差
Went to Non Entree Desserts today.
The desserts there were really pretty?? Haha.
Watched Finding Dory yesterday too.
Waterway Point is so pretty too! Maybe bc it's new.
My guy friend said that if I were less aunty-like I'd find a boyfriend. LOL.
