天空中的流星
It's December! Had christmas exchange gathering yesterday. /o/
Did something different this year. Yay. At the rate I'm always doing new stuff, I'd probably stop doing DIY stuff once I've done everything else. Lol. Bc I don't like to repeat the things I have done.
Will upload the pictures soon, haha.
So after the exchange, the group of us went to Monster Curry for dinner. After that we had a somewhat heart-to-heart session where hypothetical questions were asked.
One question is still on my mind so hence I'm here. LOL.
Meanwhile, I'm stuck at my MSM Assignment 2 so this is a good break, haha.
That question was 'What age do you want to get married, and what is the age range that you can accept - plus or minus?'
I answered I don't want to get married, and plus 5 (for the age part).
I've been saying this for as long as I remember.
I think part of the reason is because I feel the only person you can ever rely on is yourself.
As the Chinese saying goes, 靠山 山会倒 etc. I think there's something following after that but I can't remember.
And to me, once you are in a relationship, you are already technically 'married'.
Just that you don't have that legal piece of paper to say that you are. Why do you need a piece of paper to validate your relationship? I do understand there are much more implications behind this. I think the laws protect women more in a marriage.
Seen too many news of people divorcing/stepping on two boats even when they are married/adultery stuff. There's even statistics that's showing the rise in divorce rates.
What's the point of the paper then? It's not like marriage itself is preventing people from cheating or making a relationship last.
The key to a relationship is commitment, but not marriage. IMO.
Marriage, to me, feels like the proper social norm to follow so people would accept and congratulate your relationship.
Typing these as my thoughts collect themselves, bc I didn't have that much time to think about it yesterday. Hahaha.
Movies
So I went to watch Bakuman last Friday! Previously watched 我的少女时代. These 2 movies are pretty good. Haha.
First, about 我的少女时代. The female lead recently won the 金马奖! Congrats.
The movie made me laugh and cry. Beginning part was funny.
There were 3 parts that made me cry:-
- 1) At the part on the roof where it started to rain and the girl saw the guy with another girl
- 2) Flashback of the guy's memories - his POV
- 3) Playing of the recording at the playground
And yupp, the theme song of the movie was sung by Hebe!!! Awesome much.
That's what caught my attention of this movie at first, lol.
Listened to this song sometime back, and thought it won't air in Singapore.
Next, about Bakuman!
I read the manga years ago? Can't really remember the plot. Like, exactly how it went. Only roughly.
I rather liked the movie. I think it still kind of followed the plot. Mostly, haha.
I liked the effects!!!
The actors really wear the same clothes as that in the manga. LOL.
First thing I noticed was the female lead's best friend disappeared, lol.
Overall, I felt the actors are pretty true to their character.
Eiji was a little weird though.
Idk how to place him, haha.
He seems younger in the manga???? Idk. But the aura is there.
Fleeting
Emotions are fleeting. It's true.
Was mass spamming people's instagram today out of boredom. And kind of cool too. HAHAHAHHA.
The other group did it, but I wasn't that close with them. So ya. Hahahaha.
Negative thoughts kept floating in my head like few weeks ago? LOL.
Said it out and it got better. Kind of made myself do it with this insta-liking thing, HAHA.
Properly looked at the ex and read the insta posts.
After having time being temporarily blocked on instagram (again, lol), I asked myself, how was it?
I felt nothing. Lol.
And eh, she wasn't as pretty as how I remembered when I first saw her picture. Lolll.
And does it mean I don't like my bf anymore? HAHAHAHAHAH.
That said, it reminds me of something.
There was once this guy that I kind of liked.
My heart would always go into overdrive when I'm about to talk to him.
So I made myself calm my heart down and talk to him.
Then I realized I don't like him anymore when I could talk to him properly. LOL.
Was I only in love with the feeling of 心跳加速?
I think so.
Though there are times when I talk a lot to this person, after some period when things have died down, I would think 'Oh I actually liked this person'.
I read articles about people talking about love.
The times I've used the word love, I didn't know what I'm supposed to feel.
It's like my real self is not here, but just watching how I react to people, and how people react to me.
姐
My boyfriend is going to know I didn't sleep. But HAHAHAHAHA. I shall write. Lolol. Just gave him this url.
Too much negativity on this blog at times. So ya. I shall blog even on a happy day too. /o/
I think part of the reason I didn't blog that much is because of instagram though. Like, everything is there. Feels a little weird to double update. Haha.
Talked 3 hrs+! About everything and nothing. ♡ Read an influencer's blogpost about her breakup. I hope it don't happen to me. :( tbqh, I feel sad when people breakup. Regardless of who it is. Even though if the guy is like shit and I may have cursed him bc of the way he treats the girl. LOL.
And these 2 nights was Taylor Swift's 1989 tour in Singapore. Didn't manage to get tickets. Sob. I remember all the black ticket prices online. $1600 for a $300+ ticket. Wts.
Okay. I shall sleep. Getting tired already, haha. Idk if this post is happy or negative, lol.
与你相遇 多幸运
Hi blog, I'm sick again. HAHAHAHA.
Quite a sian feeling, but never mind. Just looked at my blog post and I was sick too in July, lol.
Sore throat was sudden. Followed by cough. I think I had a slight fever yesterday. Add that on to my continuous rainfall from my nose. It really was quite bad yesterday. Lol.
It was comparatively better today though. Yay.
Anyway, it's been a long time that I've blogged. A lot has happened, haha.
And yupp, I have a boyfriend! Hahahaha. After like, 7+ years? Excluding the guys I went out with in the meantime or the crushes I had, lol. Since last month. (❁´◡`❁)*✲゚*
Watched Our Times last friday! Super nice movie, with Hebe singing 小幸运. Cried at 3 parts. The part where it started raining, recalling of the guy's thoughts, and playing of video tape.
So yupp, Idk what else to write, hahaha. Mom talking now. Shall stop blogging.
Fever
It's been such a long time that I've got a fever, that I forgot how it feels. Lol.
The feeling is like my head is floating. My body is warm.
I think the last time I had fever was in polytechnic???
Mushroom Patty
So I made mushroom patty today!!!
Recipe from:
http://americanfood.about.com/od/vegetarian/r/Mushroom_Burger.htm
I edited the recipe a little since there isn't enough mushrooms at home.
Makes 8 average-sized patties.
Ingredients
- 450g of mushrooms roughly chopped (250g portobello, 200g shiitake)
- 50g rolled oats
- 20g shredded cheese
- Breadcrumbs (I used 2 slices of bread, and made them to panko - dry bread crumbs!)
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp oregano (I used slightly lesser than this bc the smell of oregano was quite strong)
- Pinch of salt
- Pepper
- 2 eggs
Method
- Saute mushrooms.
- In a separate bowl, add in oats, cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper eggs.
- Mix well and leave them for 15 minutes for it to sit.
- Divide to 8 equal portions.
- Fry in pan until golden brown.
Anyway, it looks darker than in the picture, since this was filtered of one of the layers of instagram, hahahaha. I made flatter patties for the next 4 though. Didn't take a picture. Haha. Bc my dad said they need to be flatter so they'd be fried evenly.
So I took around 3 hours from start to finish. HAHAHA. I took a long time chopping the mushrooms. Asked my dad if there's any tips for faster speed of chopping, my mom says it comes with practise. Lol. Wonder if chopped mushrooms are available in the market. Such a chore to chop them. Lol.
After that, my dad helped to blend the shiitake. Bc I didn't want to chop anymore, hahahahaha. It turned a little mushy. My dad helped to fry the patty for me too. Lol.
I used the blender to blend my breadcrumbs too! Before I microwaved them.
The recipe I use for my panko is this:
https://cookpad.com/us/recipes/150346-how-to-make-panko-fluffy-crunchy
They became super fine!! Unlike the one before when I manually grated them. I guess manually grated panko tastes better for fried food? Since you're eating that layer which is fried.
Next time I think I'd try without the egg. See if it still binds or not. And probably forego the cheese. I couldn't taste the cheese, lol.
I need to get more mushrooms so I can eat more next time. It's not enough. LOL.
I think I know why things like burgers cost more? Like in restaurants.
Bc they are hard work!!
