300516 - 040616: Japan Trip (Tokyo)
Can't believe that it's been a month since I went to Japan????
Shall continue my part 2 of my Japan trip, else I'd forget it forever. LOL.
Day 6: Monday, May 30th
- Left our airbnb apartment. Had gotten used to the place at point in time.
- Got on to bullet train.
Limited feet space for me since my luggage was huge.
- Dragged my life away as I dragged my luggage to the train station, LOL.
- Reached Shinjuku. Way here was smooth. English on trains. #englishftw
- Bought our return airport ticket, and Hakone pass.
- Bought Starbucks. On hindsight, I shouldn't have bought it. Bc there was a drizzle, and had to drag our luggage to our Tokyo hotel.
- Means I had to carry/protect my drink from the rain + drag my luggage.
- That hotel was a little dubious. Walked past quite a bit of massage services and the sort. LOL.
- Luckily that hotel was for one night only.
- No stairs too. Had to bring up the stairs for a few levels? OTL.
One of Tokyo's way to welcome me on my first day there
#colddieme
- Went back out after checking in and went to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
One of the views from the government building
This was there too, at the ground level of the government building!
Bought a hello kitty Government Metropolitan coin as keepsake
Printed postcards at 7-11
- Went to the post office to buy stamps.
Helped my friend to buy. So cute? Hahaha.
Awesome dinner.
This was the place where I witnessed 2 Japanese uncles talk about life(?) instead of going home.
- No netflix at the hotel, so we watched some Japanese shows.
Amazed by Japanese TV
Day 7: Tuesday, May 31st
- One of the most horrifying day of my life. Luggage couldn't open.
- And oh, another scary thing was LM hearing a woman's scream on one of our last nights at Osaka?? In the middle of the night. I couldn't hear it. But I couldn't go back to sleep too. LOL.
- Left luggage as it is at Toyoko Inn, and then went to One Piece Tower.
By the time we went up the slope, we were out of breath, lol.
No prizes guessing which is my ticket, HAHAHA
So cute!!!
One of the game stations. Quite cool.
Why it's cool. Self-explanatory. LOL.
- Didn't get to watch the live play. ಥ_ಥ
- Didn't go up the observatory too ಥ_ಥ
- Left and went to Shibuya crossing
Famous Shibuya Crossing
Looks pretty cool when everyone else is crossing the road.
Hachiko statue ft. cat
Had Genki Sushi for dinner
- Luggage issue thankfully settled that night /insertsprayingemoji
Day 8: Wednesday, 1st June
- Day of Butler cafe LOL
- The reason why Japan exists
Breakfast at the hotel
Quite nice
- Went to Akihabara first
- Had my first Baked Cheesecake @ Atre 1
- I think I drank a total of 3 times??
Limited edition ftw
- Watched SHINee's SNL skit as I drank my Starbucks, LOL
- Thought there wasn't much to see in Akihabara
- Pleasantly surprised there were still something I'd like? Bought some Midorima stuff.
- Weird thing was I didn't see Jump Shop there
Self-explanatory caption HAHA
Pretty shoujo manga
Streets of Akihabara
Think this was the cheapest meal I had in Japan?? Excluding takeaway from 7-11
399 yen (around S$5.05)
- Went to Ikebukuro after that
- Should have gone there for a longer period of time, bc it was too rushed???
- ANIMATE IN IKEBUKURO WAS SO AWESOME
- SO MUCH MORE AWESOME THAN THE ONE IN AKIHABARA
THEY EVEN HAVE AMNESIA CHARACTER PERFUME/FRAGRANCE OMG
Luckily, didn't have Kent's one or I would have gotten it, HAHAHA
- Felt like my soul was crushed, as KNB is going to open a temporary cafe there in July ಥ_ಥ
- Didn't even feel like going to Butler cafe bc Animate was too awesome LOL
- But yup, left anyway lolol
- HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP
- Slot was at 4.30pm
Butler cafe - Swallowtail
- We had a total of 80 minutes of time in the cafe itself
- Butlers and everyone in there were speaking in Japanese
- No phones allowed; so no one could take any photo. Not even of the pretty food/pretty layout of the cafe itself
- First, upon confirming my name and number of people, we were led to an area to wait.
- After a while, they called us, and spoke in Japanese. Presumably about the rules??? They then collected our plastic bags (bought a book from Animate) and placed them in a locker
- Started laughing like crazy omg. Laughed all the way to the seat Idk why
- Was seated in some corner where I couldn't see the entire cafe. A little sad though.
- Attempted looking around our seats and touched the story books. Think the cafe even had chandeliers in there??? Lol.
- LM said we had to act like a lady, but lol apparently my brain wasn't working
- Kept looking at other people
- Mostly girls were there
- There was a couple too
- Butler had left a key (for our plastic bags) on our table, there was also a bell for us to ring when we were ready to order
- Price has gone considerably up? The price I saw a blogger writing about Swallowtail was 2,500+ yen
- Ordered a set at 3,600 yen (about S$45.56); one person had to order one set
- Lady opposite me was so at home there. Kept staring at her, and staring at the other butlers too
- She talked to almost all the butlers there????? Omggg, I so want to converse with them but my level of Japanese is ಥ_ಥ
- Our butler was a megane, reminds me of Midorima (*´◡`*)
- Tbqh, didn't think he was good-looking at first, but the more I looked at him the better he looks? HAHA
- Even I thought the way I asked for tissue was so retarded. Think the butler serving our table BTH me LOLOL
- Supposed to say something like tissue, onegaishimasu. Instead I said, tissue, tissue. OTL
- Supposed to eat like a lady too, but guess I failed that too ಥ_ಥ
- Food had meat in them, so I had to scrape them off lol
- Didn't get a chance to say without meat bc of my level of Japanese. Sobs
- Actually was intending to share the set with LM, then the butler proceeded to ask LM for her order, lol. Then I forgot to mention about the no-meat thing too
- Food was really nice
- Saw butlers accompanying the ladies to the toilet, so I had to try it
- Rang the bell and asked to go to the toilet HAHA
- Even carried my bag for me lol, went to leave my bag at the chairs outside the toilet since I didn't want to bring it in since I was carrying my water bottle
- Butler looked weirdly at me LOL
- Couldn't blame him, think he must secretly be wanting to get rid of me asap LOLOL
- Toilet was so pretty??? And spacious. Toilet paper even had rose pattern on them.
- Went back out, and there was another butler waiting there, leading me back to my table.
- Even placed the towel back on my lap. Awww
- Dessert appeared on my table. It was quite nice?? Looks so pretty too. Sad I couldn't take photo of the food.
- I think us being english speakers, kind of made it hard for them to approach us? They did come to our table to refill our plain water though. And so many times I wanted to talk to them, but my Japanese
- ಥ_ಥ x 999999999999999
- Bet the butlers were thinking I was so un-ladylike too. Sigh
- Time just passed by so quickly, then the butler came and told us we had 10 minutes left.
- Practically wolved down my dessert and tea in 10 minutes, bc I was like so chill eating and staring at the people and butlers
- The table before us had a really pretty/elegant lady so I was staring at her too HAHA
- Seems to be korean, in a table of 4
- Butler explained some kind of membership thing for the cafe??? Had to register online.
- No idea of what Japanese was being spoken to me, so I kept staring at LM in hopes of her being my translator, lolol
- Soon left the cafe, with the butlers saying their goodbye speech or something. Or send off speech?? No idea what they were saying ಥ_ಥ
- Wanted to say sorry for my retarded behavior, but didn't at the end LOL
- Walked out from my seat, more sane(I would think???)), but still kept looking around at the entire layout of the cafe and rest of the butlers
- All of them said bye
- Once we exited the cafe, I felt like I left another world behind. Like whoa, what just happened to 80 minutes of my life??? Hahahahahah
- Went to the souvenir shop opposite, but didn't see our butler there. They were selling something like keepsake cards?? With their faces lol
- They were selling food like their scones, and jam etc too
- There was Butler musical too haha
- Ended up not getting anything from there
- Went back to Animate, and walked a short while
- Didn't have dinner that day, since butler cafe costs 3600 yen lol
- Couldn't sleep that night.
- Brain kept replaying what went on at the butler cafe LOLOL
Day 9: Thursday, June 2nd
- Day of Hakone
- Tbqh, everything was quite fast. There wasn't a need to worry so much about the itinerary bc everyone is going to the same places, as we are all tourists LOL
- Oh, and the guy we bought our Hakone pass had the best spoken English for a Japanese???
Train to Hakone
Distance to land was so close I can see what the residents are doing???
Sulphur smell was super strong :(
Area blocked off from sight-seeing
Could only see for a short while
So happy to see yasai (vegetable) curry at the menu
Ancient Cedar Avenue
- Hakone's itinerary was planned by me. And I didn't really bother about the details
- Like should it be Ancient Cedar Avenue first?? Or should we actually see the shrine first
- So tbqh, I didn't even know if the Ancient Cedar Avenue was supposed to be where we were walking on or not lolol
- In my head it would all work out anyway when we are there physically, so didn't really bother
- Maybe LM bth this point of mine?? But I seriously couldn't navigate google map ಥ_ಥ
Hakone shrine
- Here's one short convo I remember being held there LOL
- We were resting our tired feet
- LM: Being at the countryside feels so chill and scenic
- Me: I can't live in this type of place since there won't be internet/wifi, I definitely can't survive without my wifi/internet
- LM: -Continues saying something like won't die without wifi-
- Me: -Looks at her whatsapping her friend about where she is- /didntcommentanything
Matcha ice cream @ Hakone-yumoto
Place I wrote some of my postcards
Resort so pretty
- I think Hakone is a common place for people to go to onsens??
- There were quite a number of shuttle buses at Hakone Yumoto station itself
- You can just randomly board one and go to any onsen, haha
- Went there to eat ice cream, since the massage place was fully booked
- Had Cocoichibanya for dinner, this time with reduced rice LOL
Day 10: Friday, June 3rd
- Day at Odaiba + Hedgehog cafe
- Had the baked cheesecake drink again at Divercity
Famous huge Gundam outside Divercity
Chanced upon up10tion fan-meeting there LOL
Was thinking, since there are so many girls, there must be some male idol group right?
- Funny thing was we only knew of the group when we are there
- Thought the group name was uplotion > up-1-otion > up10tion (corrected by LM's friend lol)
- Went to get Hello Kitty ice cream and proceeded sitting around the venue for a while
- Then went to look around Odaiba
Statue of Liberty
- Wind was so strong at the area that my split-back top flew upwards
- Became a flasher in Japan for that few seconds omg
Lunch @ Hello Kitty cafe
- Went back out after eating to check if the idols have arrived
And yes they have!!!
Think this is the closest I've ever been to a idol venue?????
Chased afterwards by security, but everyone was so calm.
I'd love to attend a fanmeet in Japan next time!!
Booth selling their merchandise; ahjummas spotted buying their albums too
- Wanted to buy an album if I could get their autographs straightaway
- But dropped the idea afterwards, bc the cards in the tickets were in Japanese
- Wouldn't have known what I've won ಥ_ಥ
- Didn't have time to see through the end of the event
- Am going to be amazed Japanese girls touch up their makeup, rather than screaming their heads off (as in SG)
- Odaiba is a really nice and calming place
- Wasn't expecting much of this place, but it was definitely better than expected
- Headed to Roppongi for Hedgehog cafe @ http://www.harinezumi-cafe.com/english/
- Most of my time was spent staring at the hedgehog
- Bc after attempting to carry my hedgehog, I inflicted internal damage to it.
- Fed my neighbour's hedgehog bc mine was curled into a ball
- Had intended to give the plate of worms to him though LOL
- Bc was kind of shocked that the worms actually move
- He offered to let me feed his hedgehog after feeding his once, haha
- Wonder where the guy came from, he looks Asian, but his English had a certain accent ヽ(◕◡◕❀ฺ )ノ
Ball of a hedgehog
Dinner @ West Aoyama Garden
- Overestimated our stomachs
- Ended up not being able to finish 2 whole pancakes. Ate like 1.25 pancakes?
- Couldn't takeaway :(
- This place was full of tai-tais, lol. And afterwards we realized everyone else only ordered 1 pancake
Last night in Tokyo
Day 11: Saturday, June 4th
- Last minute shopping + back to SG
- Went to Isetan to get POLA stuff for my mom. Pricing there was like $50+ cheaper for my mom's item????
- Super rushed; ended up not eating lunch
- Took the Narita Express back to terminal 1, and had lunch there
- Soon came back to SG, with my shiroi koibito and tokyo banana etcヾ( ❀◕◡◕ฺฺ )ノ
- Watched movie on the plane back and I cried. Watched Brave and The Good Dinosaur
- Either on the plane to Japan, or the one returning back to Singapore, haha
Side track a bit, our main Shinjuku's stay at Toyoko Inn is only like 2 minutes away from host clubs??? HAHAHAHAHAH. I just realized. Omgggggggg.
No wonder LM said there were kpop-idol lookalikes that I missed them as I was playing Notice Me Senpai. They must have been hosts, LOLOL.
OMGGGG, could have just walked around the area and satisfy my curiosity.
That said, finally done with my recount for Tokyo part! Omg. I think I typed this for 4 hours.

Sometimes it feels like everything you want to say have to be contained.
You can't just say what you want in your head. If not, you'd definitely offend people.
So, where do all these thoughts go?
Internalize and contain them till you get depression?? Lolol.
250516 - 290516: Japan Trip (Osaka)
Am back from Japan!!!!!
Anyway, shall write a
short (had intended it to be short, lolol) summary on each day as I recall my trip! ✧(๑✪д✪)۶ㅂ٩(✪д✪๑)✧
Day 1: Wednesday, May 25th
- Went to Pricilla's house the day before, and stayed over for a while before heading to the airport.
- First time having friends sending me off for a trip! \(@ ̄∇ ̄@)/
- Went to check in luggage and collect the overseas wifi router.
- Lost my boarding pass, then found it back afterwards. /insertsprayingemoji
- Reached Tokyo for the first flight, then there was a 2 hour transit before our flight to Osaka.
- Had lunch at the airport!
- Had a bit of a shock as there was alcohol drinks available, lol.
- Reached the apartment at 8+pm?
- Got lost at the stations.
- Dragged luggage through stairs till I died. Luggage was 11.5kg when I checked in. Luggage even fell over at one point in time, lol.
- Had dinner bought from 7-11.
Day 2: Thursday, May 26th
- USJ - day of Harry Potter!!!
- Had meiji milk and melon pan for breakfast bought from 7-11 the day before.
- Their meiji milk was 500ml, instead of the usual 200/250ml. So was very full. LOL.
- Woke up early, as we wanted to be there on time. But we got lost trying to find one line at the stations. Reached slightly later than we thought.
- Went to queue for express tickets first, and got Express 4!
- The theme park opened earlier too, which was awesome.
The queue
Express + our normal pass
- Went for the spiderman ride first (used our Express), and another ride I think it was Back to the Future, then went to Shingeki no Kyojin's attraction.
- SNK was like Shrek's attraction is USS. The seats moved, and water splashed.
- Had lunch at St Louie's. Super awesome pizza!!!!!
- Went to Harry Potter's land next.
- Place was super pretty, and very Hogwarts like.
- The forest that led to Harry Potter even had the music, omg.
- Went to queue for the express for the ride. Guy we asked where to queue for express was a little cute, HAHAHA.
- The Harry Potter 4D ride was super fun???? They gave out bands for my flats so they won't fly out.
- I think the scariest ride in the entire USJ was this. LOL.
- Almost had a 360 degree turn when the dementors were coming after us, lol.
- Went to the normal path to see Harry Potter land, and took lots of pictures + the end was the merchandise shop.
- LM felt dizzy after the 4D ride, so I went to queue for the Hippogriff ride myself. It was quite fast, only a 20 minute wait.
- Drank butterbeer afterwards!

- Went for the Evangelion 4D ride after that. Didn't watch the anime before, so just watched it as it is, haha.
- Went to queue myself at Hollywood Dream. Quite a fun ride!! Wait for singles was about an hour.
- Had dinner at one of the places, but the food was too salty.
- Left without getting on one of the Express rides as it was getting late. (。•́︿•̀。)
- Bought mos burger on the way back. Ordered melon soda, which did not taste anything like melon LOL.
- Basically full-died-me since I kept eating.
Day 3: Friday, May 27th
- Went to Kuromon Market - the market near our apartment.
- There were a lot of tourists there, LOL.
- One of the uncles in one the shops even gave us sweets, haha. For giving him exact change for the purchase maybe??
Tried dango for 100 yen - didn't really like it
Awesome lunch!! Can't remember what this is called
One of the pretty store decos outside one of the shops
- Next was Osaka castle!
- Place was rather big. Walked so much that I didn't want to go inside the castle, lol.
Had ice cream because the heat was too much
- I think I was wearing shorts?? Can't remember, haha.
- Inside there were children asking tourists questions. Where are you from, what do you like about Japan, & what do you like about your own country. Answered this about 3 times LOL.
- One of the groups gave us a paper crane!! So cute.
- Went to pokemon centre + Kitkat chocolatory after that.
- Disappointed with the chocolatory place.
- It was only a small counter that sells premium kitkat stuff. I thought it's going to have a lot of kitkat flavours. Sobs.
2484 yen for one small box of kitkat, equivalent to around S$31.44
- I think I won't spend that kind of money?? Haha.
- Sat a while near the lifts of the mall. LOL.
- Our feet are not meant for so much walking, lolol.
- Meanwhile I had Country Ma'am's cheesecake while we sat down!! The girl was so cute and friendly that I bought 2, haha.
- This is so much better than Pablo's one, that I had days later, lol.
- I think the cream cheese was similar, just that Country Ma'am's one had a layer of chocolate before the cheese tart's base. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° Price was the same too.
- It was still early so we walked partially at Namba Walk.
- It's basically a stretch of shopping areas from Namba to Nippombashi.
Day 4: Saturday, May 28th
- Day for Kichi Kichi omurice!!
- Had Mister Donut for breakfast bought the night before - tasted a little funny.
- Set off for Kyoto. Thought we needed some special pass, but we could use our ICOCA card as per normal.
Featuring flight of stairs LOL
- First time going out to Kyoto! Streets look so ancient.
- I think the train ride took about an hour
First in the world - alcohol ATM, LOL. Just kidding
- Soon reached Kichi Kichi!!!! Reached there at about 12.05pm
Menu
Since it's been a distance that I went, I had the omelette over fried rice + tea + dessert.
- Nicest food on earth!!! Even the sauce was meatless. So awesome. (●´∀`●)
- Super full after eating it, LOL.
- Saw this Japan duo singing, and the audience were mostly women, HAHA.
The duo - not sure what they are called
Someone gave us this brochure, to promote about them I think!
Bought this super cute looking food as above. But the taste is not nice. LOL.
- Headed to Fushimi Inari after that.
- Wifi connection was lost around that area, probably bc it was around the outskirts.
Point of place I gave up.
Too much stairs, and it wasn't even half of the entire walking trail. OTL.
- After that we went back to Namba, went to continue our Namba Walk shopping trail.
- Went to the Studio Ghilbi shop. Lots of totoro.
Had my first taiyaki in Japan! Didn't like it that much though (๑′°︿°๑)
- Had Ichiran Ramen for dinner, which was pretty cool. Booths were by itself.
- Ticked off onions and pork, so I was left with only noodles. LOLOL.
- Walked around the area and saw the huge billboards.
Famous Glico billboard (that I didn't know was famous)
Is this an ad for a host club? ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Ended our day with Pablo tarts!!
Immediately thought that Country Ma'am's one was better, lol.
The person gave us the wrong order. Wanted cheese and the matcha tart.
Instead we got cheese and chocolate. :(
The receipt showed chocolate though, sadded.
Chocolate one tasted like Country Ma'am's one too, haha.
- Think it was this day that I saw a cute-looking guy?? HAHA. But was too shy to look at him.
- Think he was younger than me too. LOL. He had the kpop-idol feel.
Day 5: Sunday, May 29th
- Another day out of Osaka; we went to Tenryuji temple + bamboo forest.
- The day I wore my 破洞 I had to remove my shoes, HAHAHA.
- There was a temple area, and since the temple area was only at +100yen, we decided to go both.
- Ground at the temple was so cold! It was quite cool.
- Garden was so pretty too.
- I think we only only walked a part of Bamboo forest.
Am going to be forever amazed I actually took this photo LOL
- Helped a Japanese couple to take photo! Saw them putting the phone on the ground, and knowing how it will look like, went up to talk to them, hahaha. They were wearing traditional yukata too. So scenic in the environment. ˉ̞̭(′͈∨‵͈♡)˄̻ ̊
Had lunch at this awesome place
- Shopped around the area then we went back home.
- On the train back, the Japanese lady who sat beside me asked me where I got my pouch from. (What I could intepret from her hand gestures LOL)
- She was talking in Japanese so I couldn't converse with her. (′︿‵。) Couldn't really understand too, sob.
- She even offered me a sweet!! So nice of her.
- Had Cocoichibanya at the area near our apartment.
Corn salad
Mushroom curry - something we don't have here
- Full-died-us. Their normal serving of rice was 300g. I remember it was raining super heavily too, haha.
And yup, this ends my trip at Osaka area!
Shall stop here as of this point. LOL. I think I just typed this for 2 hours.

如何走过 最肮脏的垃圾场
Read this article about 'nice guys who are actually not' sometime before and feel that it's quite true?
There are some people who say it's a sexist post, but it's true to me, haha.
Nice guys do not feel self-entitled to something when they do something nice.
They do not have self entitled thoughts like 'I'm nice so I did xx and xx for you, you should be thankful'.
Those are thoughts of jerks, lol.
There were other points but I forgot them, haha.
Was talking with a friend about the topic of love, and he said something like 'think first come first serve meh'. LOL.
First come first serve sounds like a buffet to me, HAHAHA.
But yup, I think self-entitlement is a very dangerous thought to have. It doesn't exist just on aspects of love, but in social day-to-day aspects too.

First paper down!!
LOL.
The theory I memorised most of didn't come out. Gg.
Calculation part should be okay, as long as I didn't make any careless mistakes.
No time to look through them to check, omg.
Had this amendment error that ended up letting us start half an hour late, lol.
And it's so lame.
Like the question was: How can high ROE can have high P/E?
The amendment: How can high ROE have high P/E?
LOLLLLL. Spot the difference.
We waited half an hour for this???? Thought there was error in the numbers in the question.
And all of my friends didn't do this question too, lolol.
Out of all the bricks you throw at me
Happy Labour Day!!!
It's May already, omg.
It's the exam month already. :O
#studyeveryday
On a side note, I think all the good a person has ever done to me gets deleted from my brain once I cry it out.
All that's left that I remember are the bad points, lololol.
